Welcome to AAARF!

AAARF's Mission:

To rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless animals and educate the public about responsible pet guardianship.

We work closely with our potential adopters to minimize returns and stress on the animals. In the rare case it is not a perfect match, we offer our adopters an unconditional Bring-Back policy.

Our Shelter is Now Closed

The AAARF Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to close our shelter in Auburn and return to using foster homes and doing mobile adoptions. It is no longer economically feasible to keep the shelter open.

This does not mean that we are closing our operations! With social marketing, we find that we are able to do adoptions by networking through Petfinder and Facebook without the added cost of running a shelter. We are grateful to our supporters, volunteers and adopters who have seen us through the last fifteen years and helped us care for over 8,000 animals.
